Brenda Amaral, owner of Restoration Massage & Skin Care

Welcome to Restoration Massage and Skin Care, a sanctuary where the past and present blend seamlessly to offer a profound wellness experience.

Situated in the charming town of Assonet, Massachusetts, our facility is conveniently located just off the highway exit of route 24, making it easily accessible for a restorative escape.

I, Brenda Amaral, am the proud new owner of Restoration Massage, stepping into this role to continue and enhance the vision of exceptional care and personal touch that has defined this space. This cherished home, rich with history and memories, was once the residence of my grandmother and the childhood home of my mother. It's a place where I've spent countless hours, and it holds a special place in my heart.

My journey here began as a client, drawn in by the impeccable services provided by Lisa and Kelly. Their dedication to excellence and genuine care for each client mirrored my own values, which have been shaped by over a decade of leadership and ownership experience in the wellness industry.

When the opportunity arose to take the helm from Lisa, it was a natural transition for me. We have lovingly worked together to ensure that the soul of Restoration remains vibrant, while infusing it with renewed energy and my personal touch. Our mission is to create a retreat that not only respects its roots but also embraces the future, offering innovative wellness and skincare solutions.

    Lisa Aronofsky

Nationally Certified & Licensed Massage Therapist

I attended The Muscular Therapy Institute, Watertown Massachusetts 2004. Here I was taught a bodywork technique called Muscular Therapy, which incorporates Swedish massage, deep tissue bodywork, and myofascial and friction therapies.

In 2015 my advanced studies & training continued with a 1-year program with Ben Benjamin personally, who is an authority on orthopedic assessment and treatment techniques using massage therapy. This program has helped me increase my expertise and success rate in helping to heal my clients’ with common chronic injuries. I am able to find the exact source of clients’ pain and effectively treat the injury. This knowledge and understanding makes me a more effective massage therapist.

I am Nationally Certified and licensed in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork(NCTMB) and a member of The American Massage Therapy Association(AMTA).

I was the founder of Restoration Massage Inc. I have lived in Berkley since 1990. It means a great deal to me to work in an area where I have a great sense of community. I hope to see you soon on your journey to greater balance and health.

    Gwen Amaral

    Cosmetologist

My journey in the cosmetology field began far before schooling; spending any time I could shadowing my mom behind the chair, from as young of an age as I can remember.

While in school, I assisted my mom, which I am forever grateful for. My longing for education led me to Newbury Street for a year. This experience was anything short of exceptional. It gave me a newfound perception of the hair world. My time in Boston can also be accredited to how I’m here today.

My utmost priority is your comfortability here. Whether it’s skin, brows, lashes, or event hair, your appointment is about YOU.

I strive to leave you looking and feeling good, while maintaining the integrity of your skin, brows, lashes, and hair. A trusting relationship amongst a service provider and their guest is a lasting one, and I look forward to what we create together.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends, at the gym, or recycling through my favorite shows and movies. I also love to travel, attend concerts, and spend time down the Cape.

At Restoration Massage and Skin Care, we believe in the power of connection—between past and present, tradition and innovation, and most importantly, between us and our guests.
